Master bedrooms should be a calm space.

This master bedroom is that calm retreat, but there's enough going on in it to make it feel like it is intentionally designed and special and not basic.

Design-wise, we kept it fairly neutral, but we cared mostly about the architectural elements.

So there's beautiful wood flooring, there's six really pretty windows, and then a ceiling full of beams and skylight, and that's all you... that's all you kind of need.

When you walk in, what you feel first is this sense of very even, beautiful light, and it makes the room feel so big and luxurious.
